The Browns want to figure out their quarterback situation before it costs them a playoff spot.
It seems like the Cleveland Browns are doing their best to squander a playoff spot after yet another loss to the Los Angeles Rams.
Although the Browns have put together their best roster since the original Browns left for Baltimore in 1996, this team seems incapable of putting together a winning formula.
As of now, the Browns have officially deployed four different quarterbacks this season and as of today, the fourth quarterback will be forcibly removed from the active roster.
The perennial nightmare of the Cleveland Browns quarterback The Cleveland Browns’ offensive struggles will continue after Kevin Stefanski decided to demote recent acquisition quarterback Joe Flacco to the practice squad.
The decision was made Monday night when Stefanski announced the quarterback position was open ahead of the Week 14 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars’ elite defensive end.
The move is somewhat shocking, as Flacco played significantly better in his Browns debut than either of his predecessors (rookie quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson or career journeyman P.J. Walker).
Both quarterbacks fit into Cleveland’s planned offense thanks to original starting quarterback Deshaun Watson.
The obvious advantage of these two quarterbacks is that they have considerable mobility advantages over the 38-year-old pocket passer Flacco.

The advantage Flacco has over the other options Stefanski currently has at his disposal is that he performed quite well against the Los Angeles Rams. Flacco finished the game 23 of 44 for 254 yards, two touchdowns and an interception in the 36-19 loss.
Statistics aside, the Browns desperately needed a quarterback with the ability to stretch the field after Watson was injured in Week 6 against the Baltimore Ravens.
Flacco was recently brought in to provide experience for a young quarterback after a series of injuries left the team in a position of leadership.
After injuries continued to plague the quarterback room, Flacco was finally called up to start in Week 13 against the Los Angeles Rams.
