The Los Angeles Rams and the San Francisco 49ers are both going to playoffs and they both will be facing off in the final regular season of the year. Christian McCaffrey, who sustained an injury last Sunday, will be sitting this one out.
It will be interesting to see which players Sean McVay and Kyle Shanahan ultimately decide to sit and or how serioulsy each team wants to win this game. The 49ers have the top NFC seed locked up, and I am not sure how much a difference it will make for LA whether they win this next game or not.
The coaches have some decisions to make.
In the meantime, do you think McCaffrey is the 49ers best player? There’s some speculation on whether Puca Nakua will sit this one out or not. The Rams are going to try out one of their former kickers in this upcoming matchup. These are all good topics and there will be plenty of things to talk about now that the Rams made the dance!

Running back Christian McCaffrey will sit out of San Francisco’s regular-season finale Sunday against the Rams due to a mild calf strain, coach Kyle Shanahan said Monday. Shanahan added he’s “real confident” McCaffrey will be good to go for the team’s postseason opener in the NFC Divisional Round.
McCaffrey sustained the injury during San Francisco’s Week 17 win over Washington and was held out of the rest of the game out of caution.”

“On Monday, the Los Angeles Rams announced that they waived kicker Lucas Havrisik. The 24-year-old was 15 of 20 on field goals and 19 of 22 on extra points this season before the team let him go. His longest field goal was from 52 yards.
For a moment, the Rams — who clinched a playoff spot with their Week 17 win combined with the Seahawks’ loss — were a team without a kicker, but have since decided to bring back veteran Brett Maher, according to ESPN.
Head coach Sean McVay said his play-calling did change based on Havrisik’s struggles, with the team going for it on fourth down in situations when a field goal would have been the default call.”

“Williams spotted his mom, Taryn Williams, in the stands and leaped up to hand her the ball. But an overzealous Giants’ fan took the opportunity to try and seize the game ball for himself.
After some jostling between the two, it was Taryn who ended up with the prize.
Like Williams’ mother, the Rams seized control of the game and their future with the 26-25 win.
In addition to winning their third straight and sixth in seven games, the Rams clinched a playoff berth with the Seattle Seahawks’ loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers just hours later.
