Diarlow, 33, has been forced to watch on as Illan Meslier remained at Leeds in the summer.
The summer signing from Newcastle has played four times for us, two games of which has come in the Carabao Cup.
The former Newcastle and Nottingham Forest man came on for Meslier in the defeat to Preston, with the Frenchman sent off. He then started and finished in the 1-0 loss to Carlos Corberan’s West Brom side.
But Phil Hay reports that before the game, Darlow suffered a dislocated thumb in the warm-up. He took pain killers to get through the game, while Kris Klaesson replaced him in the win over Birmingham City.
Speaking in Friday’s press conference as per the club’s YouTube ahead of Peterborough, Farke stated Joe Gelhardt is missing ahead of this weekend’s outing – as is Darlow, who may be out for seven weeks.
“Joffy Gelhardt is out with a glute injury, he will be back in training next week. Karl Darlow is awaiting a diagnosis but he will be out for about 7 weeks. He’s a fighter, perhaps he will come back a little earlier.”

Losing Darlow is a big blow, but it will see Kris Klaesson make his third senior outing on the weekend, with Meslier serving the last of his three-match ban. For Darlow, a frustrating wait on the sidelines.
Even when he does return, he will likely find himself on the bench and the summer signing might even have been overtaken by Norway’s U21 goalkeeper. One man’s omission is another’s chance, in Klaesson.
