Sanju Samson’s form in IPL 2024
Samson’s case is particularly intriguing, given his evolution as a T20 powerhouse. Accumulating 385 runs in the ongoing IPL season at a strike rate of 161.09, the Kerala cricketer has showcased consistency and maturity previously sporadically seen in his game. His ability to handle spin bowling adeptly and his versatility in batting order make him a valuable asset for India, especially in the middle-order.
However, the conundrum persists as India’s batting hierarchy seems to have limited slots for specialists in the middle-order. With the top four likely occupied by Rohit, Jaiswal, Kohli, and Suryakumar Yadav, the team management prioritises specialists for the remaining positions.
