It appears there has been some confusion. Imran Tahir, the former captain of the Guyana Amazon Warriors in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL), has not passed away.
However, he did suffer an injury during CPL 2024, which sidelined him for a portion of the tournament. Tahir, a key player for the Warriors and the oldest participant in the league at 45, was temporarily replaced by English leg-spinner Nathan Sowter as Tahir recovered.
There is no tragic news of Tahir’s passing, but his absence was deeply felt by the team during critical matches. His leadership and exceptional leg-spin were instrumental for the Warriors in recent seasons
