Sha’Carri Richardson faced disappointment in her 2024 season finale at the Diamond League in Brussels, where she struggled with a sluggish start and finished in eighth place in the 100m final.
Despite being one of the favorites after a strong performance in Zurich, Richardson couldn’t overcome her slow start, finishing the race in 11.23 seconds. Her rival, Julien Alfred of Saint Lucia, won the race in 10.88 seconds, claiming the Diamond League title.
This setback marked the end of a promising season where Richardson had achieved significant victories but fell short of securing the coveted Diamond League title.
