The time has finally come, my Disneyland Resort friends! After what seemed like months of waiting for some sort of news, Disney has finally shared more information about renewing your Magic Key. Magic Keys were introduced in 2021 as a replacement for the popular Annual Pass Program. During the COVID shutdown, Disney sent out emails to Disneyland Resort Annual Passholders, saying that they would be ending the program. Eight months later, Magic Keys were introduced. The new Keys proved to be so popular that Disneyland had to put a pause on all new sales.
According to Disney, Magic Key renewal sales will begin on August 18, no earlier than 9 a.m. PT. At the time renewals begin, all four levels of Magic Key will be available. However, there will no longer be a Dream Key, which was the top-tier Magic Key. The Inspire Key is replacing the Dream Key. The Inspire Key and the will both still allow Guests to have six at a time. Now, there are a few important — and exciting — new details to note with this round of Magic Keys.
