Netflix has unveiled its upcoming slate of films, series, and games for 2025 at its annual showcase at the Egyptian Theatre in Los Angeles. The event featured Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria, who highlighted the platform’s strategy for the year ahead. The showcase was live-streamed across 12 countries, with appearances from industry figures, including Guillermo del Toro, Ben Affleck, Tina Fey, CM Punk, Rhea Ripley, and the Duffer Brothers.
Netflix’s film lineup for 2025 includes projects from established filmmakers. Guillermo del Toro’s ‘Frankenstein’ is a long-anticipated project with a personal connection for the director. ‘RIP’, starring Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, is a crime thriller designed to keep audiences engaged. Tyler Perry returns with ‘Madea’s Destination Wedding’ and ‘She The People’.
Comedy is a significant focus, with ‘The Four Seasons’, a new adaptation of the 1981 film, led by Tina Fey. High-profile series include ‘Death by Lightning’ from David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, ‘Zero Day’ with Robert De Niro, and ‘Black Rabbit’ featuring Jason Bateman and Jude Law. Netflix is also expanding its unscripted content, introducing ‘Building the Band’, a performance-style show, and ‘Million Dollar Secret’, a social experiment.
