This probably shouldn’t come as a shock to you with Kentucky sitting at No. 24 in the NET, but with three weeks to go in the regular season, the Wildcats are not among the NCAA’s top 16 seeds in the official March Madness Bracket Preview.
The NCAA released its top 16 teams ranked 1-16 representing the top four seeds in each region on Saturday and left the Cats on the outside looking in. Instead, three SEC teams made the cut in Tennessee at No. 6, Alabama at No. 9 and Kentucky’s upcoming opponent Auburn at No. 13.
The current No. 1 seeds? Purdue at No. 1 overall, followed by UConn at No. 2, Houston at No. 3 and Arizona at No. 4.
