Regarding the Green Bay Packers, David Bakhtiari’s tenure with them is coming to an end. Or so a lot of people have been thinking lately. The two-time First Team All-Pro and three-time Second Team All-Pro left tackle, who has also made five All-Pro teams, has missed the majority of the last three seasons with knee issues.
The Packers are reportedly in the process of moving on, according to recent sources. Given this, Bakhtiari himself made the decision to speak up.

According to a piece written by Matt Schneidman for The Athletic, the Packers will let go of the standout left tackle. Since then, social media has seen a huge increase in interest in that. So much so that Bakhtiari reacted to the concept himself:

The 32-year-old, five-time All-Pro left tackle tore his ACL at practice on December 31, 2020, and he is still dealing with the knee problems that were caused by the initial tear.
Over the last four seasons, he has only participated in 25 of the 72 regular season and postseason games that are possible, including only one this past season.
Bakhtiari, who has been a member of the Packers for the last 11 years of his career, inked a record-breaking contract extension for the 2020 season. The Packers, who are now roughly $3 million above the cap, would have about $21 million in cap space available if Bakhtiari were to be released or traded, according to above the Cap.
Bakhtiari hopes that any procedure
The likelihood is that Bakhtiari will be traded or released by the Packers, even though he may still be an elite player when healthy, as he demonstrated on a short Sunday against the Chicago Bears in September. It’s possible that the New York Jets will pay a late-round pick to bring Bakhtiari back to his old golf cart buddy Aaron Rodgers.
Bakhtiari appears to be determined to remain in Green Bay. That’s very evident from this statement and another one he made earlier this season.
