Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has indicated that spinners might play a crucial role, even during the death overs, when India begin its ICC T20 World Cup Super Eights campaign against Afghanistan in Barbados, starting June 20.
The Indian team maintained an unbeaten record in the group stage, securing wins against Ireland, Pakistan, and the USA, with their final match against Canada on June 15 being washed out by rain.
Afghanistan is also undefeated, achieving significant victories against Uganda, New Zealand, and Papua New Guinea. They have a group-stage game against West Indies on Tuesday.
Speaking to Star Sports, Jadeja mentioned that the pitches in the West Indies are slow and dry, which benefits spinners in the middle overs.
