BREAKING: OU Women’s Basketball Lands Four-Star Power Forward Brooklyn Stewart for 2025 Recruiting Class
NORMAN, Okla. — OU women’s basketball added a major piece to its 2025 recruiting class on Wednesday with the commitment of four-star power forward Brooklyn Stewart. Stewart, a standout from Pine Creek High School in Colorado Springs, is regarded as one of the top players in her class, ranking No. 58 nationally in the 247 Sports composite rankings.
Stewart, who is also the No. 13 power forward in the country and the No. 3 player in Colorado, brings a wealth of talent and potential to the Sooners’ program. Her commitment marks a significant milestone for head coach Jennie Baranczyk and the OU women’s basketball team, which is looking to continue building a championship-caliber roster.
Stewart’s addition bolsters an already promising 2025 class, joining Bethany guard Keziah Lofton, who committed to the Sooners in September 2022. The 6-foot-2 forward’s versatile game and ability to impact both ends of the floor make her a standout prospect for the Sooners, who are building momentum under Baranczyk’s leadership.
“We are thrilled to welcome Brooklyn Stewart to our OU family,” said Baranczyk in a statement. “Her talent, work ethic, and competitive drive will be huge assets to our team. We are excited to see her continue to develop and help us achieve our goals on the court.”
With Stewart on board, the Sooners are poised to continue their rise as one of the top programs in the nation. The addition of such a highly ranked player only adds to the growing excitement around OU women’s basketball, which has been making strides toward competing at the highest level in the NCAA.
