Saffas Abroad: Marx spears Dynaboars, Kolbe edges Kwagga
Malcolm Marx and Cheslin Kolbe starred in Japan’s League One while Hanro Liebenberg crossed for two tries in the English Premiership.

Cheslin Kolbe got the better of Bok teammate Kwagga Smith as Suntory Sungoliath defeated Shizuoka Blue Revs 22-17, with Kolbe scoring for Sungoliath. Sanele Nohamba played off the Shizuoka bench.
Malcolm Marx scored his fifth try of the season for Kubota Spears in their 33-5 win over Mitsubishi Dynaboars. Joining Marx in the Spears matchday squad were Ruan Botha, Rikus Pretorius, Merwe Olivier and Tyler Paul, while Friedle Olivier made his Dynaboars debut.

Damian de Allende was the lone Saffa on the park for Saitama Wild Knights in their 54-26 win over Urayasu D-Rocks, while Honda Heat trio Matthys Basson, Janko Swanepoel and Dawid Kellerman went down in a heavy 59-21 defeat to Toshiba Brave Lupus.
Jesse Kriel’s Yokohama Canon Eagles were beaten 29-17 at home to Toyota Verblitz, and Willie Potgieter came on in the second half for Kobelco Kobe Steelers in the 27-24 win over Black Rams in Tokyo.
