Analysts note the Browns have a big problem this season
You don’t have to be a football expert to see that the Cleveland Browns have a major QB problem.
Likewise, you don’t have to be a sports expert to know that struggles at the QB position usually result in poorly executed game plans and football losses.
Some how, despite all their problems, this Browns team has still managed to stay afloat, but that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t worry.
Poor QB play often leads to turnovers, and that has been more than evident on Kevin Stefanski’s team this season.
As Browns insider Hayden Grove pointed out, the team had 24 giveaways and 16 takeaways.
That’s the worst mark in the NFL and their -8 differential is third-worst in the league behind the 4-9 Washington Commanders and 2-10 New England Patriots and tied with the 6-6 Minnesota Vikings.
Jim Schwartz’s defense has done a great job of keeping the ship afloat despite the poor quarterback situation, but there’s only so much they can do.
Getting 16 takeaways in 12 games is beyond remarkable, but turning the ball over twice per game is like continually shooting yourself in the foot.
Stefanski could turn to fifth-round rookie quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson in the future, and while it may not be the wisest choice at this point, none of the potential QBs on the roster are known for taking good care of football.
Overall, this 7-5 record becomes even more impressive when you look at the bigger picture.
