However, the $11 million annual salary increase is in trouble. SI’s Richard Johnson reports that Michigan wants a written commitment from the coach that he won’t seek an NFL job “this cycle.”
Harbaugh, who is 87-25 in nine years at Michigan, led the Wolverines to three straight College Football Playoff appearances. No. 1 seed Michigan will face No. 4 seed Alabama in the Rose Bowl on Jan. 1.However, it wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows for Harbaugh at Michigan.
He is serving a self-imposed three-game suspension related to NCAA violations that occurred during the COVID-19 dead period.
