After winning three straight to get back into the playoff conversation, the team stumbled in all three phases in New York. The defense allowed 17 points in the second half, including a miserable final drive that allowed the Giants to get within field goal range.
The offense was hot and cold all night and Jordan Love looked off-balance from the start. After the loss, the Packers decided to bring in a new wide receiver.

But since Wicks went down, it seems like they’ve decided they need more depth at wide receiver. Pitts signed a practice squad contract on Tuesday, according to the team’s transaction report.
Pitts played his college ball at the University of Delaware, where he was a model of consistency as a wide receiver. Between 2019 and 2022, he had three seasons with more than 600 yards.
In 2020, a season shortened by COVID, he made 29 receptions for 451 yards and three touchdowns in eight games. In 2022, his final season at Delaware, Pitts had 57 receptions for 631 yards and 10 touchdowns.
After going undrafted in the 2023 NFL Draft, Pitts was signed by the Chicago Bears, but was waived in early August. He was then picked up by the New England Patriots, with whom he participated in training camp.
Pitts also spent time on the Patriots’ practice squad. Packers fans react to team signing of 6’2″, 201 pound WR Pitts 1.
