Cleveland Browns star Myles Garrett stands by his critical comments about his NFL performance.
Myles Garrett called out the officials after the Week 14 win against the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Cleveland Browns star stands by his comments.
TheBrowns defeated the Jaguars 31–27, but Garrett went without a sack for the second straight week.
He expressed his frustration after the match with some touching comments directed at the referees.“Today’s refereeing was a joke.
Honestly, it was terrible,” Garrett said on Sunday, December 10. “I mean, respect for these guys, it’s a hard job, but damn, we have a hard job too.
“You can’t make it harder by complicating the rules with throwing, holding and hands to face.
And like I said, I have a lot of respect for those guys, but we’re going to be scrutinized for the plays we don’t make.
So someone needs to hold them accountable for the plays they make or the calls they don’t make. And they have to be kept under the same kind of microscope that we put under every piece.
”The comments will likely cost Garrett money via a fine, although he wouldn’t confirm that when speaking to reporters on Friday, Dec. 15.“Ask the league,” Garrett said.
He didn’t want to talk about a possible fine, but Garrett didn’t take back what he said either.
“It was something that had been going on for a while over the last few weeks and other runners have been dealing with the same thing,” Garrett said. “I can only speak for myself, but once you have a full position you are fed up with how they are treated.
Then you realize something is wrong.“I’m not getting any calls at the moment, so it can’t be worse.

Garrett has 13 sacks this season and is a leading contender for Defensive Player of the Year.
He also plays with a bad shoulder and has to be on the field every Sunday. He’s already an important part of the Browns’ defense, but even more will be asked of Garrett the rest of the season after suffering a rash of injuries on that side of the ball.
The Browns lost safety Grant Delpit and defensive tackle Maurice Hurst for at least the remainder of the regular season.
TheBrowns are also awaiting final word on whether defensive lineman Ogbo Okoronkwo will be ruled out for the season with a pectoral injury. Okoronkwo will not play Sunday against the Chicago Bears.
He is second on the team with 4.5 sacks this season.”Good guys.

“Then you walk out and 95 (Garrett) and 99 (Smith) are looking at you at the same time.“It’s fun.
I think that’s why you do what you do. You want to play against the best. Yes, you should always consider these two things. There’s no doubt that when you’re going against guys like that, your game plan needs to focus on those two guys.
