Browns need to overcome recent injuries to make playoffs: Crowquill Ted Crow By means of Ted Crow, especially for cleveland.com
CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Browns (8-5) will face the Chicago Bears (5-8) today at Cleveland Browns Stadium.
The Browns will be without several key players due to a series of recent injuries that do not include Deshaun Watson, Nick Chubb and Jack Conklin, who were injured earlier in the season.
The injured list has expanded to include offensive tackles Dawand Jones and Jedrick Wills Jr., defensive linemen Maurice Hurst II and Ogbo Okoronkwo, defensive backs Grant Delpit and Rodney McLeod, all of whom, except perhaps Okoronkwo, are out for the season.
The Browns need the next guy to take a big step forward if they want to make the playoffs ahead of a bunch of teams that are a game behind and nipping at their heels.
Beating the much-improved Justin Field’s Bears would be the first step in the right direction. Joe Flacco throws a few touchdowns with his new contract and leads the Browns to a 35-28 victory.
