Georginio Rutter responds to Leeds supporter’s concerns after new post on social media
Georginio Rutter is a player Leeds United simply cannot afford to get injured this season.
The Whites have a handful of players in the squad who are simply irreplaceable and Rutter is someone who certainly falls under that category, perhaps even more so since his move to number 10.
Rutter has always been the creative force behind this Leeds side over the course of the campaign, but after a bit of a lull in terms of his high standards, he is now back in his groove. It is no coincidence Leeds have won back-to-back matches in the league 3-0 with him a little deeper.
With an eight-day break between Cardiff City and Preston North End, it would appear Daniel Farke has handed his players some time off. Rutter has posted some images across his different social media platforms of him at a ski resort.
This has sparked some concerns from Leeds fans that he may potentially pick up an injury while he is away, though Rutter has been quick to allay those fears on Twitter.
He wrote: “No worries I walk only with my moon boots,” in response to a supporter who said: “Does this picture make anyone else nervous, don’t get injured lad @georgi_hrt.”
Thankfully, it would appear as though he is not taking part in any skiing. Just after the World Cup in 2022, Manuel Neuer did so and broke his leg, an injury which would rule him out for the rest of the season.
It is unlikely Rutter is there for too long, anyway, with Leeds back in action on Sunday and training almost certainly set to resume either tomorrow, or the day after.
Leeds have a run of fixtures now where they should be able to string a long run of wins together, with the most they have amassed consecutively this season, three.
