Vero Beach High School linebacker Tarvos Alford is ranked No. 70 in the class of 2025 according to 247Sports’ Composite Rankings.
On Friday afternoon he narrowed his recruiting down to six schools: Florida, Florida State, Miami, Ohio State, Tennessee and UCF.
Alford will commit and decide between one of these programs on March 30. Tennessee recently visited him at school to check on him.
“Overall, it was great to talk to coach [Josh] Heupel and coach [Brian Jean-Mary] in person,” Alford said of his visit to the Tennessee staff. “Their proposition to me was that I should be a Vol and that I could help them as much as they could help me.”
After his short stint in Tennessee, Alford was asked if he would help Tennessee’s cause and what role he would play in recruiting him in the future. “He definitely upped their stock.
I feel like it’s special when the main guy comes to see you,” the talented linebacker said. He was also asked how Tennessee makes him feel and where they are currently in terms of recruiting.
Florida’s defensive standout says, “Definitely an excellent school at this point in my recruitment. They make me feel like a priority because they stay in touch with me and try to make it happen.
