Carrollton High School cornerback Shamar Arnoux has been committed to the Tennessee Volunteers since April of last year, but according to On3’s Jeremy Johnson, the three-star defensive back has an unofficial visit planned with the Bulldogs of Georgia this weekend.
Arnoux was Tennessee’s first commit in the Class of 2025.
The physical corner joined two other Vols commits for his junior season but has now transferred to his third high school.
He played at Battle Miami this weekend, a 7-on-7 tournament that brought many national players to Florida. John Garcia Jr. of Rivals called Arnoux a standout among a large group of prospects.
Arnoux also visited the University of Miami this weekend. Arnoux impressed all weekend with his C1N team. Arnoux excelled in coverage and is generally a very physical cornerback. During his team’s championship run, Arnoux always made big plays on defense.”
John Garcia Jr. of Rivals on Shamar Arnoux during Battle Miami Arnoux transferred to Carrollton High School for his senior season after spending the first two seasons of his career at Westlake The Lions and his first year with the Milton Eagles Westlake had a series of two-man concepts in which Arnoux was asked to play in the quarterfinals, a concept Tennessee often adopts.
He also played the man in Cover 1 and Cover 2 looks, a necessity in the Vols’ scheme; Given the speed at which they execute offensive plays, defenders must be prepared to line up in a base set and implement similar concepts from a few formations each game. 2025 3-star CB Shamar Arnoux on unofficial visit to Tennessee.
